At Tablecloth Kingdom, we care about meeting your shipping needs, which is why we offer both an express shipping and a standard shipping option.

As much as we’d love to deliver your cloth to your door, pop the kettle on and have a chat, we do have to place our trust in your postie. Our goal is always to make our Express Shipping option affordable, so please choose Express Shipping if you’re needing your cloth with haste.

Please see our Delivery page for more information and for shipping prices.

How accurate are your shipping times?

We suggest that it’s best to allow time for delays that are being experienced across Australia within the postal network.

While we are diligent with packing and sending the cloths, we are at the mercy of Australian shipping companies. As much as we’d love to deliver your cloth to your door, we do have to place our trust in your postie.

Our goal is always to make our Express Shipping option affordable, so please take advantage of this if you’re needing your cloth ASAP.

What size Tablecloth should I buy?

If you’re not quite sure which size is right for you, refer to our handy Size Guide or contact us.

When choosing your tablecloth size, you can use this formula to determine what drop each size will provide on your table:

  • Tablecloth length (e.g. 280cm) minus table-top length (e.g. 240cm)
= total fabric for drop or overhang (e.g. 40cm)
  • Then divide this by 2 for the two edges of drop
= drop on each end (e.g. 20cm drop)
  • Then repeat the same formula to determine what the tablecloth drop will be on the width.
  • For Round tables you can do the same formula for the Diameter.
  • For Oval tables please ensure to measure the widest part of the table length and width
  • Please allow a 1-5cm +/- factory tolerance in the measurements of the tablecloths, which is industry standard to allow for fabric slippage and hemming tensions.

In our experience, choosing a size (and suitable tablecloth drop lengths) depends on personal taste, the table, chairs and purpose.
It is a good idea to measure the drop length that will be provided to see if it will suit your intended use or event, as well as the height of the chair seats, and how much of the space under the table you wish to cover.
As a guide, a tablecloth drop of the following measurements is often suitable as follows:

A drop of 10 - 15cm:

  • a short drop for everyday use
  • a practical and fuss free look
  • popular for elderly patrons or residents.

A drop of 15 to 30cm:

  • for everyday use at home or hospitality such as cafes or events
  • aesthetically pleasing look
  • may drape on chair seats

A drop of 30 to 45cm:

  • a slightly longer drop for home, parties, or hospitality such as cafes or events
  • more formal, elegant look
  • may drape on or lower than chair seats

A drop of 45 to 60cm:

  • long drop for formal occasions, formal dining, parties, restaurants, catering etc.
  • more formal, elegant look
  • likely to drape lower than chair seats

A drop of 60 to 75cm:

  • floor length or almost floor length for most dining tables
  • popular for weddings, formal occasions, very formal dining

Tablecloth & Table Runner Size

What size tablecloth should I order?

Our Size Guide exists to make the shopping experience a breeze.

We cater to a large range of sizes and shapes. We also have a handy Shop By Size page where you can easily see what tablecloths are in stock for your table size/shape.

For more assistance on tablecloth sizing please feel free to Contact Us. We are more than happy to help you find the correct fit for your table!

Table-top dimensions or tablecloth dimensions

Please note that our products are listed as the sizes and dimensions of the tablecloth or table runner, not the dimensions of the table-tops it will fit.

For best suited tables see our Size Guide.

Your table-top will fall into a size category, and there is a suggested size of tablecloth and runner.

For more assistance on sizing please contact us with your table top measurements in centimetres, your table shape, and the type of use or event.

Are the cloth measurements exact?

Please allow a 0-4cm +/- measurement tolerance due to
slight movement and varying thread tension during production process when
tablecloth or table runner is measured, cut, sewn. This is standard in tablecloth
manufacturing.

Our suppliers and our in-house seamstress work hard to provide quality cloths in a range of sizes.

A small tolerance of plus or minus 0-4cm is necessary for table runners and tablecloths, and 0-3cm for napkins.

Will your oval tablecloth fit my oval table-top shape?

We have tried our best to provide Oval tablecloths that fit a range of oval styles and sizes. Please note that Oval tables come in a variety of shape styles ranging from “egg-shaped” to “race-track” oval.

Our Oval tablecloths are designed best suit race-track Oval shape styles( which have a straight section on the longest sides), rather than egg-shaped ovals (which are all or almost all curve and don't really have straight sections).

Please take this into consideration when you receive your Oval tablecloth. If you are unsatisfied with the fit of your tablecloth contact us to make use of our 30-day easy returns guarantee.

What size table runner should I order?

For sizing of our table runners, we have created a big range of sizes (Sizes A to K) which coordinate with our Tablecloth sizes.

They have been created to drop approximately 5cm less on each end, than the associated tablecloth. So that the table runner doesn't hang lower than the tablecloth. For example, Size A table runner is 125cm long, and will suit an Extra Small Square or Extra Small Round Tablecloth, which are 135cm.

See images in our Emerald Wildflower Christmas Bundle to see what this looks like on a Rectangle Table (Size shown is: Small Rectangle).

See our Size Guide for table runner sizing. This suggested sizes will provide a table runner drop on each end of the table.

You can also consider purchasing a table runner which is approximately 70cm to 100cm shorter than your table top length if you want to leave space at each end for a guest place setting to be positioned around the table runner. You would likely need approximately 35cm to 55cm space at each end of the table for a placemat, glassware etc. In this style, your table runner would sit in the middle of the table, the place setting would be down both sides and at each end, so the table runner would not drop/hang over the edge of the table.

See our Traditional Holly Christmas Bundle for an example of what this might look like.

How do I work our how much drop (overhang) the tablecloth will give me?

Calculating drop length

Please remember to divide by the two edges of drop/overhang when calculating drop length.

For example: 340cm tablecloth length minus 300cm table top length = 40cm for drop (overhang), divide this by the two edges it will hang over = 20cm drop at each end.

Then calculate the drop for the width edges. For example: 160cm tablecloth width minus 100cm table top width = 60cm for drop (overhang), divide this by the two edges it will hang over = 30cm drop on each side.

For round tables: measure the diameter (widest part of the circle table top). If tablecloth size is 225cm diameter, minus table top size 185cm diameter = 40cm for drop, divide this by two edges = 20cm drop all around the table.

Tablecloth Quality

What are your tablecloths made from?

Our current range of Kingdom cloths are made from 100% Polyester and boast washability, durability, and less tendency to wrinkle. Just what you need!

Do your tablecloths wrinkle or crease?

We understand how pesky wrinkles can be! For this reason our current range is 100% Polyester fabric with less tendency to wrinkle/crease than most cotton or linen tablecloths.

When your tablecloth arrives it will likely have the creases from being folded and shipped on its long journey. You may wish to run a warm iron over your cloth to remove creases and ensure a beautiful crisp look!

For those who are iron-averse, take care to minimise wrinkles when your tablecloth is in the wash. When you wash your tablecloth, you could hang it up on the washing line promptly to minimise wrinkles from sitting in the machine too long. Then place it quickly on your table again, rather than folding it up.

Are the colours of your tablecloths uniform?

Whilst we try our best to provide you with tablecloths all the exact same shade of colour for your home or event, on rare occasion the tablecloths can be a slightly different shade due to the process where the tablecloths are hand dyed to achieve our brilliant range of Tablecloth Kingdom colours.

In 99% of cases the tablecloths are the same exact shade of colour, but on rare occasions they can be slightly different due to hand dying.

We check every tablecloth by hand for any blemishes or faults, but sometimes these things can be missed by the human eye. If you are unhappy with your tablecloth for any reason, please take advantage of our 30 Day Easy Returns Policy.

Is the fabric of your tablecloths always the same?

Whilst we try our best to provide you with tablecloths all the exact same thickness of fabric for your home or event, on rare occasion the tablecloths can be a slightly different thickness due to our supplier’s availability of cloth. On this rare occasion, the difference in thickness of tablecloth is not noticeable and does not affect quality. Our current range of tablecloths are 100% polyester, and boast washability, durability, and less tendency to wrinkle. Just what you need!

We check every tablecloth by hand for any blemishes or faults, but sometimes these things can be missed by the human eye. If you are unhappy with your tablecloth for any reason, please take advantage of our 30 Day Easy Returns Policy.

Tablecloth Washing and Care

Should I wash my cloth before I use it? How do I remove creases?

There is no need to wash before use, but you may wish to run a warm iron over your cloth to remove the creases from being folded and shipped.

How do I wash my Tablecloth?

Your 100% Polyester Tablecloth comes with a sweet little tag instructing you how to provide the best cloth care. In case you missed it, the recommended way to keep your cloth sparkling is:

- Perform a cold gentle machine wash separately.
- Line dry in the shade.
- A handy little tip:hang your cloth up on the line promptly to minimise wrinkles from sitting in the machine too long. Then place it quickly on your table again, rather than folding it up.
- Use a warm iron if needed to remove creases.
- Try to avoid tumble drying as this may ruin the fabric.
- Absolutely avoid bleaching the tablecloth.

How do I remove stains on my Tablecloth?

Our fabric tablecloths are commercial grade and used often in hopsitality and home settings. Our fabric tablecloths not stain resistant, similar to clothes you wear, stains will linger on lighter colours depending on how quickly the stain is removed and what is spilt on it.

For our 100% Polyester Tablecloths we recommend the following to remove stains:

- It is very important to address stains as soon as possible and do not let the stain dry, to avoid the stain setting in.
- For stain removal useVanish Preen Oxi Action Trigger(this stain remover spray is suitable for colours & whites). Follow Vanish spray instructions, then pop the tablecloth through the washing machine with detergent.
- Alternatively, for stubborn stains you can soak the tablecloth for a short time inVanish Napisan Oxi Action Powder(this stain soaking powder is suitable for colours and whites). Follow Vanish soaking instructions, then pop the tablecloth through the washing machine with detergent.
- Choose a stain removal spray or soak that is suitable for colours, to ensure the colour is not affected in your coloured tablecloth.
- Do not scrub the tablecloth in the area of the stain, as we have found this dulls the fabric in this area and can ruin the look of the tablecloth.
- We have tested this method on our white and coloured Tablecloths and it has been successful in removing most dirt and food stains.
- For stubborn stains such as red wine and oil, it usually depends on how long it sits in the tablecloth as to whether it will come out.
- Some stains such as pen ink will never come out of any colour fabric unfortunately.

Tablecloth Styling and Use

Can you tablecloths be used for outdoor tables?

Our tablecloths are fantastic for an occasion outdoors or for use on outdoor tables that are undercover. If left for a prolonged period of time outdoors they will fade in the sun and suffer water damage. So it’s best to keep your tablecloth out of the sun and rain, or indoors when you’re not using it. If Mr Weather decides to rain on your outdoors occasion, not a worry, just hang up your tablecloth to dry as soon as possible and she’ll be ready for your next sunny event!

How do I decorate my table?

We love table decorating, which is why we’ve got a whole section on the website dedicated to showing you how to create your own table masterpiece, for any theme or colour scheme you choose! Please enter theTable Inspirationsection to learn the difference between home décor and event styling, and to discover how to match colours and props with your brand-new cloth.
